In Delhi there is no dahi handi system but temples are very well decorated and mostly children perform some programs in the night. In my school days I used to go and visit all nearby temples with my family and all those lights, flowers, decoration everything I loved. Taking prasad from pundit ji was taken as sure shot blessing of God for all the list of wishes I asked everytime, including my first terminal marks.
Slowly as I was growing my thirst to know this God subject was increasing. Different people gave me different addresses of God and I went everywhere. I became Acharya and did all the studies but still in no book could make me see God. God came as a definition which was not what I was searching for and then I read Bhagwat Geeta for the 19th time, leaving all pre notions I had.
Here happened to be the entry of THE KRISHNA, which took away all my definations.
I am not saying that I am any very enlightened soul or knower of all , but this time I could see and feel something different.
As per me, Krishna is a balance. Balance of human side and spiritual side.
Balance which comes from Vairagya and Self love and leads to Joy and Celebration.
Have you realized that it is easy to leave or hold but doing juggling with both needs a master.
Krishna was that master.
He has explained in Bhagwat Geeta that Self is Brahm. Self is the essence and Self is always one with the Supreme in physical form or energy form. There is no seperation. In Self only you will see Brahm and this gyan is Brahm gyan. Self love leads to the Union with Brahm. Self with Supreme Self.
When Self is in physical body, so body has mental system. Brain has all the inbuilt systems of attachment, anger, fear, lust, ego etc. This further weaves mental patterns, which makes it appear that we are different and God is different. The veil is created.
Here whole world got lost and rather than feeling love and light for God like Krishna flute melody, world started searching God. Started fearing from God, my God your God game started and rather than channelizing attachment, lust, anger, fear, ego etc people started pushing the inbuilt brain systems as if something from outside has attacked. The inner criticism, judgements and war started.
Krishna spoke first time about practice, repetition and neuroplasticity for the healthy balance.
Krishna gave light in the darkness. Krishna broke all old dead non serving belief systems. With his laughter, twinkle in his eyes and mischievous ways he made all effortless.
On this auspicious day, I wish you and your family very Happy Janmashtami. May we all are blessed with Krishna’s light, love, joy and celebration.
In gratitude
Acharrya Smredhi
