Shardiya Navratri are starting from 26th Sept to 4th Oct’ 2022. 5th September is Vijaydashmi. These days are considered as most auspicious.
During Navratri all the forms of Durga Maa are worshipped with lot of love and faith.
Religion Speaks:
Have you ever observed that a particular part of you which was not known to you, and it appeared as the situation came. You yourself got surprised to see that part of you, that is it me or someone else.
For example: Some challenge came and a part of you faced it with high focus and power that even you were not aware of this part that this also exists in you. You had a different impression about yourself and you yourself was astonished to see this form of you.
- Or
In love a part of you appeared so highly compassionate, loving and in giving mode that you were not aware that even this part exists in you. You yourself was not aware of this highly compassionate part of you till that situation didn’t came in your life. - Or
In anger a part of you came in so much high energy of anger which you never saw in yourself and you yourself was amazed that is this me or someone else. Anger in constructive mode is a power. It protects. - Or
In some spiritual experience you felt so much connected to yourself, so peaceful and so resonated with your source energy that it was so different from your usual restless self. It came as a surprise in front of you.
These are our those parts which appears in front of us when a particular situation comes and goes back in us when situation ends. We have never encountered with them earlier. Moreover, during that situation, you are not able suppress that part. It overshadows all, leaving you amazed and in awe of your own self.
The same situation is mentioned in our ancient scriptures. Durga maa has so many forms and every form appears from her and goes back in her when situation ends.
It is said Devi has 9 forms. Even there are 9 rasas – Navrasas. Every form is wonderful and complete.
9 forms of devi are mentioned below and starting from Shailputri 9 days are assigned to 9 devis.
Shailputri, Brahmcharini, Chandraghanta., Kushmanda., Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, Sidhidatri.
Religion speaks. It gives us deepest secrets, knowledge and solutions about ourselves and life in the form of symbols, idols and kathas. Only we need to understand this decoding.
If we read Durga Saptshati then all the forms are mentioned along with the story of how they appeared, and this is super interesting.
We are more than what we know about ourselves:
We just know the tip about ourselves. We only see ourselves from the conscious mind and there are layers of subconscious and unconscious mind in us.
Thus, great masters say self-discovery is like peeling an onion and it ends in Godliness. We search ourselves and we end up in finding God and you get pleasant surprises to see your own wonders. This is the reason true Spiritual guidance is focused only on Self.
Our image about ourselves is our limiting belief:
We have much more compassion, love, power, and grace in us then what we think. Our impression or image about ourselves is also our limiting belief. In fact, every image will be proven as limiting belief as our frequency will change with the situation.
So we are unlimited. We are abundant. Every limit which we give to ourselves is to be broken one day as our frequency will change.
So, do not define yourself in words. You are much more than vocabulary. You are connected to highest of the highest so just love yourself for what you are. As we worship every form of Maa Durga with lot of devotion similarly every form of us is also sacred and beautiful. All is auspicious.
Witnessing and accepting every part of you is accepting whole and complete of yourself. Till the time we are accepting one part and pushing other we cannot feel peace in ourselves.
So, accepting whole and complete of ourselves and loving the story who we are gives us extraordinary peace, power, gratitude, love, and higher navigation.
This is bliss and mental tranquillity.
This is shifting in connection from complaints, and which fills us with gratitude.
Rituals:
Maa Durga is God’s or Universal energy in feminine form. She is Power, Victory, Love, Compassion and Creation. She is Mahamaya, who can put any body in deep trance of attachment. The whole world is under her Maya. Even Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh bow down in front of her.
Her prayers give power and victory. At one hand she is fierce and on the other hand highest compassion and love flows through her eyes. That is why she is called Mother. Anybody who surrenders in front of her is granted all the boons.
Navratri are her days and let us all worship her with full love and faith and absorb maximum power and love in ourselves.
I am sharing some simple rituals but powerful ones. If you wish you can do them:
- Clean your temples and decorate as you wish.
- It is believed that Mother loves fragrant flowers especially Hibiscus flowers, fruits especially Pomegranate fruit, fragrant smoke specially Guggal smoke, lamp/ diya, dance, dhol, mridang, chanting, music so if you can or whatever you can then include them in your daily prayers and offerings. This prayer is more like a celebration. You can also offer all shringar items, dry fruits, beetle laves, beetle nut, cloves, cardamom, and camphor.
- Durga Saptshati is considered to be the best prayer during Navratri, but you can do any and every prayer of Devi as per your choice.
- If you keep fasts, then keep it with discipline as Devi prayers always require more discipline.
- Do prayers with all the love and devotion.
May She fulfils all our wishes.
May She bless us with health, wealth, happiness, peace, and abundance.
May She bless us with light of wisdom and knowledge.
Wishing all of us Happy Shardiya Navratri 2022 in advance.
